Residence"The question, perhaps, is this: As the writer surrenders to these new possibilities, what will be her role in this instantaneous, feedback driven, open world? Will there be a place for these other, slower thoughts, ideas that take time and quiet to flower, truths that cannot be crowdsourced? |
Intention
Context is important and critical to nourishing our creative instincts. In this fast paced ‘connected’ world of today; it is necessary at times to remove ourselves in search of stillness and solitude for reflection; and re-connect with our inner muse and the original rhythms and patterns of light and life in the natural environment. Participants must enjoy and be seeking stillness, solitude, proximity to nature and the experience of the intimacy, sights and sounds of daily life in the heart of a small, rustic, rural, French village. Please learn more about our village here www.bugarach.fr This rugged and sublime part of France is a land of glorious color, sensuous texture, passionate weather and shifting light, where your ideas will flourish. Visits to the Mediterranean coastline, the Pyrenees mountain range; and the artistic historic villages of Collioure and Ceret are within two hours driving distance for painting, photography, or drawing excursions by day. Catalonia, with its' beautiful seaside village of Cadaques, the wild Cap Creus Parc that inspired Salvador Dali, the city of Barcelona with the buildings of Antonio Gaudi; and the Picasso Museum are all within 3-4 hours drive.
